Gefen Introduces Four New HDMI V1.3 Solutions That Integrate And Distribute High-Definition Audio And Video Throughout The Home

Gefen is upgrading its selection of switching and splitting solutions to support the expanded HDMI v1.3 format. Two new switchers and two splitters are now capable of supporting next generation HDMI v1.3 signals from set-top boxes, DVD players and game consoles as well as tomorrow¹s HDMI displays. Both the 3x1 and 4x1 HDMI Switchers have been upgraded to support the HDMI v1.3 high level of performance. Each switcher enables either three or four sources to be accessed by the same HDMI display. Users switch between sources using an IR remote or by the front panel buttons on each unit. High-definition resolutions up to 1080P and full HDCP compliance ensure visuals are displayed at their most vibrant levels. The Gefen 1:4 and 2:4 HDMI v1.3 Splitters take one HDMI source signal and deliver it to four displays simultaneously with no signal degradations or delays. The 2:4 Splitter offers two source inputs that can be switched using the IR remote. The selected source is delivered to all four displays, making it ideal for multi-room viewing requirements. Gefen is showing all four solutions at booth 2045 throughout EHX.
