Evolutions, voted Best Post Production House by Broadcast in 2007 and first place in Televisual Producers Poll, announced today that it will become the first U.K. broadcast post production facility to open in New York. This significant expansion in Evolutions business will begin in November 2007 with full post-production services on the U.S. version of Make Me A Supermodel. Evolutions facility will be situated in The Brill Building at 1619 Broadway in the heart of New York’s music district. Currently with six edit suites the aim is to increase this to 25 suites in the next year and work on a range of broadcast projects including entertainment programming, reality and documentaries. Make Me A Supermodel is being produced by Tiger Aspect Productions, a division of IMG Media, by executive producers Lisa Perrin, Andrew Zein and Jamie Munro. It is a fast turnaround show with shooting and editing taking place the week of transmission. The show will be hosted by supermodels Niki Taylor and Tyson Beckford. Evolutions’ senior editor Nick King will re-locate to New York for the project. All camera crewing and equipment is being provided by Trevor Hotz of HotCam (X-Factor, The Apprentice, Brat Camp) who Evolutions have formed a strong relationship with in New York. “I am delighted that Evolutions are working with us on this exciting project in New York. Having worked with them before on Deadline for ITV2, I know that they can deliver a superb service on a demanding fast turnaround programme such as Make Me A Supermodel. I am sure that their New York operation will grow from strength to strength in the coming months,” comments Lisa Perrin, Executive Producer, Tiger Aspect Productions. “Traditionally vfx and commercials post production facilities have made the move to New York. However we saw a great business opportunity to provide the U.S. broadcast industry with Evolutions award-winning staff and service.” comments Simon Kanjee, Managing Director, Evolutions.
