November 19, 2007

Ensemble HD™ Home Cinema System from Epson was honored with a highly coveted International CES Innovations 2008 Design and Engineering Honoree Award last week at a pre-CES New York press preview. The Ensemble HD is designed to seamlessly and affordably transform virtually any residential space into a high-performance home cinema. As the world’s first complete, fully-integrated audio and video projection system, Ensemble HD’s sophisticated engineering makes it a breakthrough offering for thousands of dollars less than comparable home theater systems. “Epson is proud to have Ensemble HD Home Cinema System recognized as a 2008 CES Innovations Award winner and even more proud to help consumers realize their dreams of owning a high-end home theater system,” said Rajeev Mishra, director, New Ventures Group, Epson America Inc. The Ensemble HD includes a high-definition projector, integrated sound system, motorized movie screen, AV controller with built-in DVD player, universal remote and equipment cabinet. Among the system’s key innovations is its one-of-a-kind, integrated sound system. Developed in coordination with Atlantic Technology, a world-renowned leader in multi-channel speaker systems, all front channel speakers are hidden within the system’s 100-inch motorized screen and the surround speakers are concealed in the projector’s integrated speaker cradle. This unprecedented innovation ensures the highest quality sound without the usual hassle and obtrusiveness of typical speaker systems. The home cinema system comes with all the necessary mounts, cables and materials ready for professional installation in as little as four hours. The International CES Innovations 2008 Design and Engineering Awards honorees were announced on November 13, by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). For nearly 20 years, the Innovations Awards have been selectively granted to consumer technology developers and manufacturers by a distinguished panel of independent designers, engineers and the trade press. The Ensemble HD Home Cinema System will be available in January 2008 in two versions, a 1080p system for a suggested retail price of $6,999 and a 720p version for $4,999. Consumers and dealers will have an opportunity to see a demonstration of the Ensemble HD at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show on January 7 – 10 (Booth #TBD) in Las Vegas.
