Pivot3 Demonstrates High-Definition Video Storage Solution At U.S. Maritime Security Expo

Pivot3 Inc today announced that the company will participate at the U.S. Maritime Security Expo at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, New York City, N.Y., November 27-28, 2007. The attendees visiting the Pivot3 booth #1001 will be able to view demonstrations of the Pivot3 High-Definition Storage system based on the RAIGE™ (RAID Across Gigabit Ethernet) technology, which increases data security and helps organizations store twice the video while supporting up to five times the data streams of traditional modular storage systems. The Pivot3 IP-based solutions reduce storage infrastructure costs by up to 50 percent, and significantly increase scalability and data availability. The Pivot3 High-Definition Storage System adds a higher level of data protection across multiple networked storage nodes, called Databanks, which are built using industry-standard x86 servers and disk drives, and are connected via common Gigabit Ethernet. Databanks are added to cost-effectively scale recording capacity and megapixel, high-definition camera support. Each Databank adds processing power, cache, and network ports, contributing to the overall increase in performance and bandwidth.
