APC AV’s H10 And H15 Power Conditioners Offer Protection For Home Entertainment Systems

A/V Power Conditioners Optimize Sound and Video Performance and Offer Surge Protection, Noise Filtering, Automatic Voltage Regulation and Lifetime Guarantee

November 29, 2007

APC offers two power protection devices uniquely designed to optimize the sound and video performance of high-performance home entertainment centers. The H10 and H15 Power Conditioners provide full power conditioning — including surge protection, noise filtering, and automatic voltage regulation (AVR). Unstable power can destroy component power supplies and negatively impact sound and video quality. The H10 and H15 help eliminate power anomalies that threaten home entertainment component hardware and A/V signal integrity. “With the proliferation of home entertainment systems, finding a cost-effective power conditioning solution that eliminates sound and video degradation has been challenging for consumers. In our opinion, consumers should not have to go without performance power conditioning and related features due to high cost,” said Joe Loberti, senior vice president, Home and Distributed Systems, APC-MGE. "These factors led us to create the H10 and H15 at prices considerably less than other currently available solutions.” Both the H10 and H15 feature 12 filtered, surge-protected outlets, ensuring complete protection for all components. Six of the outlets have EMI/RFI noise filtering for digital devices, such as HDTV monitors, Digital Video Recorders, satellite dishes, and DVD players. The power conditioners also offer two high-current filtered outlets for amplifiers, subwoofers and the like, as well as two analog and two video outlets. The input plugs are set flat, at a 45-degree angle, to ensure they do not block the outlet below or protrude from the wall. This allows a user to plug an additional device into the unused outlet, and ensures that equipment can be pushed nearly flush with the wall. The component-specific noise filtering banks are designed to prevent video and audio signal distortion, and the Automatic Voltage Regulation eliminates voltage fluctuations as a source of A/V signal degradation. A sequenced turn-on/off function regulates how audio equipment powers up and down, and prevents equipment damage caused by failing to turn components on and off in the correct order. The H10 and H15 also feature inductor-less filtering for high-current components, and DC-voltage triggering; and the H15 adds a dimmable LCD display screen. Both models are available in an attractive brushed aluminum silver or black finish. Their high-quality fit and finish handsomely accent any home theater ensemble. Like other APC A/V Power Conditioners, the H10 and H15 include an Equipment Protection Policy (EPP). This ensures APC will pay to repair or replace any properly connected equipment damaged due to a failure of the H10 or H15 (up to $500,000/$750,000, see policy for details). Unlike typical homeowner insurance policies, APC's EPP does not require premiums, and is good for the life of the power conditioner. Both models also come with a five-year product warranty. The H10 and H15 Power Conditioners are currently available in North America from authorized APC dealers at suggested prices of $349.99 and $449.99.
