Niles Audio, The First Name in Custom Installation®, today announced that the company’s designer-inspired CONTACT-TT table-top system control keypad with color touch screen is now shipping to dealers nationwide. The CONTACT-TT, specifically designed to complement Niles’ revolutionary IntelliControl® ICS whole house distributed audio/video system, offers consumers a table-top control option with color touch screen functionality. It features a built-in integrated display on a high-resolution 3.5” color touch screen with LED backlighting and delivers all the necessary metadata to scan, select and play program material from a variety of menu-based digital audio sources like iPod®, Sirius® and XM® satellite radio and HD Radio®. IntelliControl ICS users will see everything they need to operate their system intuitively – as if they were standing in front of an equipment rack or holding an iPod in their hand. The CONTACT-TT is an elegant user interface that is ideal for placement on nightstands in bedrooms or on desktops in home offices to provide complete whole house audio/video system operation. “Shortly after introduction, Niles dealers asked for a desk caddy to enable our CONTACT touch screen to be used on desks and nightstands,” said Frank Sterns, president of Niles. “The CONTACT-TT integrates the functionality of our wall mount touch screen keypad and provides Niles customers with complete system control in a contemporary table-top design package,” Sterns added. With an easy-to-see color touch screen, seven backlit hard keys, a ‘party mode’ function that turns on any zone in the house and a built-in infrared sensor, the CONTACT-TT enables Niles dealers to provide their clients with complete control of their IntelliControl ICS system and all connected audio/video sources.
