Liberty Wire & Cable announces the appointment of Kirk Horlbeck as Chairman of the Manufacturer’s Council of InfoComm International. Mr. Horlbeck is Liberty’s Senior Vice President for Corporate Marketing & International Business Development. The appointment reflects a leadership position within the commercial A/V industry that Liberty has long occupied, and provides an additional means for its continuing service to the marketplace. “I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to serve on InfoComm’s Manufacturing Council,” said Mr. Horlbeck. “The Council plays a critical role to the manufacturers and other sectors of InfoComm’s growing audiovisual community, and I look forward to working with its members.” Mr. Horlbeck‘s experience spans more than 25 years of Marketing and Sales Management. Prior to Liberty, he served as a professional management consultant developing marketing and sales initiatives for such corporate clients as Abbott Laboratories, FedEx, Grainger and IBM. His consulting practice, in addition, served industrial clients in Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Philippines and Macau. Earlier, Mr. Horlbeck served as Director of Marketing for the international advertising firm of J.L. Dearlove in Chicago, as well as the Director of Marketing for LifeFitness. He holds both graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Illinois, Urbana. The Manufacturer’s Council is one of nine key InfoComm councils. It develops projects and initiatives to help improve the manufacturing community and the audiovisual industry as a whole, serves members in issues related to communications technologies, and shares insights and information about manufacturing audio, video, A/V and telecommunications products. Council Chairmen also serve as members of InfoComm’s Board of Governors InfoComm International is the trade association of the professional audiovisual and information communications industries. It is the founder of InfoComm, the largest annual conference and exhibition for A/V buyers and sellers worldwide, and co-sponsors the Integrated Systems events in Europe, Russia, China, and Asia. Established in 1939, the association’s 4,400 members include manufacturers, systems integrators, dealers and distributors, independent consultants, programmers, rental and staging companies, end-users and multimedia professionals from more than 70 countries.
