At CES 2008 in Las Vegas, projectiondesign, the leading manufacturer of advanced professional and consumer digital light processing (DLP®) projectors for residential home theater, business and eCinema, will showcase its Action! model three 1080 DLP® projector with the sound muscle it deserves – patented planar ribbon loudspeaker technology provided by the world leader in that arena, BG (Bohlender-Grabener). BG designs the finest in-wall speaker solutions on the market and will feature its new Radia Series R-500 In-Wall home theater speaker system with THX Ultra-2 Certified vibration-free subwoofers. “When high-performance brands like BG and projectiondesign partner to showcase our products, we provide visitors to CES with a short-cut to home theater heaven,” states projectiondesign North America president Gary Plavin. “Just watch. It will be hard to walk away from our Action model three 1080’s ultimate high-def image coupled with realistic, lifelike soundstage quality. We’d better stock extra refreshments.” The model three 1080’s high-def picture packs the punch of 0.95” 1080p DMD™ technology from Texas Instruments® delivering true, native, uncompressed 1920 x 1080p resolution HDTV like no single-chip projector before. This projector features dual damps, dual 7 segment color wheels and light formatters for an enhanced level of cinematic realism, depth and clarity. BG will further highlight its new 7” wide contour Radia R-500 planar ribbon architectural loudspeakers system with the BX-4850 – the industry’s first in-wall subwoofer system to achieve THX™ Ultra2 Certification. This slim and elegant, vertical-design system can be integrated seamlessly into any theater or living room environment with maximum quality and robust volume levels. Additionally, with 2,400 watts of power, the BX-4850 will impress the most demanding enthusiast. The new projectiondesign Action! model three 1080 utilizes Texas Instruments® BrilliantColor™ technology along with patented projectiondesign DuArch™ illumination featuring dual lamps, dual seven-segment color wheels and light formatters for unmatched architecture. The Action! model three 1080 provides infinite adjustable brightness, each lamp’s power is individually adjustable delivering exceptional control of on-screen brightness from 500 to 2500 ANSI lumens, enough for even the largest screens.
