The NBC Agency, the advertising agency serving network media giant NBC, announced today that they have chosen Mediaport, the global leader in music/media burning and digital download kiosks, to create both the hardware and software solutions needed by NBC for the company’s CES display. Mediaport will be providing both the kiosks and digital software solutions to power the NBC Digital content portion of their 2008 CES display, in January. All CES attendees will be able to download popular NBC programs such as 30 Rock, Project Runway and 12 Corazones from one of the many Mediaport kiosks which will be located throughout NBC Universal’s CES booth. “Mediaport is helping us reach out to the digital savvy community. The company’s media-on-demand kiosks are providing the perfect channel for us to reach and influence new target markets,” said Frank Radice, Executive Vice President, On-Air Advertising East Coast & MSNBC, the NBC Agency. This is the second joint announcement made by the two brands. In October it was announced that the two companies had created a groundbreaking advertising partnership which places NBC promotional programming content on Mediaport’s media-on-demand kiosks around the country. Under the partnership agreement, customers downloading music on Mediaport kiosks called Mediaport ATM’s® at hundreds of retail locations have been able see advertising content from NBC promoting popular programs such as Saturday Night Live, The Late Show with Conan O’Brien, Last Call with Carson Daly and MSNBC. These simple-to-use, MediaATM’s® hold one million tracks that can be easily downloaded to a portable listening device, memory stick, mobile phone or CD. Mediaport was the first company to obtain all major music label content for distribution on music kiosks.
