The new TX Series (42”, 47” and 52”) and VK Series (40”, 42” and 47”) 1080p HDTVs are designed for the consumer who wants to enjoy a superior home cinema experience and the very best in LCD technology, the screen format of choice for discerning aficionados. The new TX and VK Series TVs are the ideal centerpiece for any digital household, whether in a home theater setting, living room or large bedroom. Each matches a must-have array of HDTV features and connectors with superior Westinghouse performance and technology. The 40”, 42” 47” and 52” TVs all provide: 1920 x 1080 resolution, the highest standard available to consumers for HD digital video display; an integrated ATSC/NTSC/ClearQAM Tuner; ultra fast response times; and a full suite of connectors. The high-end TX series ups the ante with 1080Pure™ for 1080p resolution out of all HD connectors, an ultra high 5000:1 contrast ratio, and four HDMI connectors (the VK Series has two). “2008 is predicted to be both the year that 1080p HDTV sales explode and the year that LCD emerges as the preferred screen technology, and Westinghouse Digital is uniquely poised to play a lead role on both counts,” said Rey Roque, Vice President of Marketing at Westinghouse Digital Electronics. “Our expanded lines of affordable 1080p HDTV solutions offer consumers more ways to step up to this breath-taking technology with whatever LCD screen size fits their lifestyle.” The TX TV’s deliver razor-sharp images with their Full Color Spectrum and High Contrast Picture -- which creates deeper blacks and richer dark scene details by dynamically matching the brightness of the TV backlight to that of the on-screen image. The Advanced Calibration Menu allows the users to make advanced adjustments to calibration settings including colorimertry and the Preset Video Modes give users the ability to select from a menu of customized viewing styles including movies, games and sports. The TX and VK TVs incorporate the latest Westinghouse proprietary technologies, including: SpineDesignÔ intelligent cable access; DayBright™ panel technology for stunning daytime or nighttime viewing; and AutosourceÔ technology, intelligent engineering that automatically turns the TV on and adjusts it when an external source that is detected. The built-in stereo speakers ensure a captivating sonic experience from richly detailed musical passages to metal twisting car chases. The 52” TX-52F480S also includes a subwoofer. The TX Series is scheduled to be available in March 2008 and includes: the 42” TX-42F450S LCD HDTV ($1,199 MSRP); the 47” TX-47F450S LCD HDTV ($1,599 MSRP); and the 52” TX-52F480S LCD HDTV ($2,499 MSRP).
