DALI Launching MOTIF

By combining appealing design, genuine materials and excellence in driver- and speaker development, DALI is releasing a new loudspeaker at the January 2008 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, US. The name of the loudspeaker is DALI MOTIF LCR. DALI MOTIF LCR has a sleek appealing design that will match the interior design of many modern living rooms. The loudspeaker comes with a patent pending wall bracket, which makes connectivity and correct polarity very easy, no matter how the speaker is mounted. The objectives of developing the DALI MOTIF LCR loudspeaker have been to design a high performance loudspeaker for the demanding design orientated customer. In other words, MOTIF is a versatile loudspeaker, which will fit a modern lifestyle, where high performance and a compact form factor is in quest. The die cast aluminum body is available in high gloss white or high gloss black – both with elegant chrome trim round the aluminum body and the fabric grille. Versatility and ease of use is underlined by the fact that MOTIF LCR comes with a patent pending Click’n’Connect aluminum wall bracket that houses all connectivity to the loudspeaker. By using the wall brackets or the optional stands (will launch early 2008), the speaker is equally suited for two channel stereo or multi channel surround sound setups. A dedicated MOTIF SUB is currently being developed (release date still due). Offering a premium loudspeaker in the lifestyle segment has been a great challenge, since style and performance have had top priority. However, DALI’s experienced development team has used the same successful formula used on the multi award winning DALI IKON® and MENTOR series speakers; use only the best components in class, together optimized to deliver the best sound possible. The two 41⁄2” mid/woofers for MOTIF LCR are designed with wood fiber cones known from our more expensive high-end loudspeakers giving a clear precise sound reproduction. The high frequencies are reproduced by an oversized 28mm/1.1” soft dome tweeter with a very powerful neodymium magnet system. The magnet system of the tweeter has an integrated heat sink for increased power handling. The crossover is designed with high quality audio grade components. Available from February 2008 the DALI MOTIF will retail at € 469 per speaker.
