Third Time's A Charm For Auralex Acoustics And ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

Auralex Acoustics, Inc. has become the go-to manufacturer for isolation and diffusion treatments on ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. In each episode, the Makeover team undertakes the monumental task of completely rebuilding a family’s home in a one-week timeframe. NYC dealer Dale Pro Audio once again recommended Auralex’s state-of-the-art products when acoustical treatments where needed for one of the family member’s rooms. This episode marks the third time Auralex is involved in an acoustical renovation on the show. Patrick, a young college student at the University of Kentucky in Louisville, was born with several sever deformities and handicaps, though he is an accomplished trumpet player in the University’s marching band. Auralex Acoustics donated several of its 2” acoustic StudioFoam Pyramids for Patrick’s room, giving him a more controlled sound practicing environment while preventing the sound from traveling throughout the rest of the house. The 2" acoustic Studiofoam Pyramids are frequently used to treat small - to medium-sized areas to reduce standing waves and flutter echoes. “This is the third time we have been involved with this amazing show and we are looking forward to continuing our relationship with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” says David Paxton, director of operations at Auralex Acoustics. “To be a part of this process of creating a new home for an entire family in need is as rewarding as it gets.” Auralex was one of many companies contributing to the rebuilding of a home for the Hughes Family in Kentucky.
