Schneider Optics, Inc., the well-known lens and professional filter manufacturer, has announced that its Cine-Digitar Anamorphic 1.33X Lens System is now being used by THX Ltd. in its recently launched THX Certified Video Systems Calibration workshops. THX instructors use the Cine-Digitar system to educate professional video calibrators to achieve an optimal Cinemascope® (2:35 format) experience on home cinema screens. THX provides hands-on, industry-leading training for home cinema designers, installers and calibrators, including classes and workshops in Home Theater Design, Video System Calibration and Audio System Calibration. With the growing popularity of Cinemascope® images among home cinema owners, integrating anamorphic lenses into its training programs is a logical next step. "The goal of THX Certified Video Systems Calibration training is to enable video professionals to provide the ultimate home theater experience," said John Dahl, Director of Education at THX.
