CodexNovus, the leader in stand-alone and networked high definition media server and media player products, is proud to introduce the DML Series Digital Media Player/Server to provide simple, instantaneous, random access to all digital media—movies, music and digital images—in lossless 5.1 and 7.1 high-resolution digital audio and pristine, artifact-free High Definition video with superb color fidelity at resolutions of up to 1920 x 1080p and beyond. All CodexNovus DML Series Digital Media Player/Servers are built around the powerful, proprietary HDcodex software architecture. Eliminating the time and frustration of searching through your media collection, HDcodex empowers users by giving them the ability to consolidate, catalog and organize their video, music and picture media libraries using an interface that is so elegant and simple that everyone in the family will feel comfortable using it. Browse all stored media, music, movies or images in whatever the format or network location, easily and uniformly through the HDcodex on-screen user interface. Additionally, CodexNovus’ HDcodex enhances the experience of browsing through the stored media collection by providing detailed metadata—artist, album, genre, and style information—on thousands of albums and movies. “We have designed the DML Series Digital Media Player/Server to be the ultimate backbone of any entertainment system or digital media library,” said Hugo Feugen, president and founder of CodexNovus. “Our unique media server technology balances powerful hardware with intuitive operation; a combination that creates the perfect tool for anyone who wants to deliver cutting edge, High Definition performance in powerful, yet easy-to-use configuration.” The DML Series Digital Media Player/Server also features CodexNovus’ proprietary peer-to-peer architecture support. The fully-expandable CodexNovus Peer-to-Peer Network allows nearly limitless combinations of CodexNovus’ DMS (Digital Media Servers), award-winning DML (Digital Media Library) Player/Servers and Client (DML-Zero) Players to be configured into an extensive, robust network for a complete multimedia system. No more one-movie-at-a-time from the library, your only limit is the number of DMS-6000 Servers, Client Players or Player/Servers! With the ability to network hundreds of CodexNovus Digital Media Players, Player/Servers and the 6TB, RAID5-configured DMS-6000 Digital Media Server as a central location for multimedia storage, users can now independently access simultaneous streams of any music, High Definition video or digital image content stored on any networked DML Player/Servers or DMS Servers. The HD content may either be accessed and watched via a stream from a remote location on the network or downloaded and saved to the local DML Player/Server. With the ability to accommodate any size digital media library, the DML Series is comprised of five different models for the ultimate in flexibility. Ideal for residential applications and commercial venues, each DML-4000 offers 4TB of raw digital storage which allows an HDcodex network to scale to even the most robust of media libraries simply by adding either storage-capable Client Players or Central Servers as needed to grow with the library size. The DML-1600, DML-1000 and DML-400 feature all of the same capabilities of the DML-4000 with 1.6TB, 1TB and 400GB of local storage, respectively. The DML-Zero Digital Media Client Player can be combined with any number of networked CodexNovus Digital Media Player/Servers or Servers if local storage is not preferred.
