Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmy® Award-winning manufacturer of high performance projection systems, announced five new products based on its TITAN Professional Series II platform: The TITAN sx+ 600M, TITAN 1080p-600M, TITAN sx+ 700, TITAN 1080p-700 and the TITAN 1080p Ultra Contrast. The new TITAN 600M products offer the rugged construction, high performance and energy efficiency shared by all TITAN projectors, but fill an important price and performance niche between the company’s existing 500 and 600 models. The TITAN 500 and 600 products have been solid, high brightness performers in the HD (720p), sx+ and 1080p native resolution platforms. With the addition of the new “M” sx+ and 1080p displays, DP customers now have an extensive suite of projectors from which they can select the perfect solution to meet their performance and cost objectives. The table below illustrates where the new models fit into the existing line-up: Product Lumens/Contrast TITAN sx+ 500 6000 Lumens/2000:1 Contrast NEW! TITAN sx+ 600M 8500 Lumens/2000:1 Contrast NEW! TITAN sx+ 700 11000 Lumens/2000:1 Contrast TITAN 1080p Ultra Contrast 5000 Lumens/5000:1 Contrast TITAN 1080p-500 6000 Lumens/2000:1 Contrast NEW! TITAN 1080p-600M 8000 Lumens/2000:1 Contrast NEW! TITAN 1080p-700 10000 Lumens/2000:1 Contrast Also new to the TITAN line-up are the TITAN sx+ 700 and 1080p-700. As an evolution of the TITAN 600’s, the 700 series offers even more technological advances, with an upgrade to new, longer life HID lamps, improved contrast in excess of 2000:1, a newly designed optional Rapid Rig frame with easy to adjust pitch, roll and yaw adjustments, HDCP compliance and standard HD-SDI input connectivity. Augmenting the list of new 700 series enhancements is the extreme mechanical flexibility the platform offers when operated in single lamp mode. Depending on which lamp is selected, 700 series projectors can be rotated, either horizontally or vertically, to project from nearly any angle. This mechanical orientation capability supports portrait displays, tight rear projection environments, multi head visualization / simulation systems, unique staged sets and virtually any application where extreme projector orientation is required. Concurrent with infoComm ’08, the TITAN sx+ 700 and 1080p-700 will take the place of the TITAN sx+ and 1080p 600 models. As they share the same footprint, lenses, control protocol and price as the TITAN 600 series projectors, the 700’s are seamless replacements for systems currently being specified for the 600 models. The final new product in the expanded TITAN lineup is the TITAN 1080p Ultra Contrast. Based on the new TITAN 700 chassis, this 1080p native resolution display has received major enhancements to its optical system in order to maximize contrast and black level performance. Specifically, the TITAN 1080p Ultra Contrast delivers 5,000 lumens and an impressive contrast ratio in excess of 5000:1. For customers with visualization, simulation, medical, scientific or exploration applications, or for customers who simply have theatrically dark venues and want superb dynamic range, the TITAN 1080p Ultra Contrast delivers exemplary dark area detail and saturated, vivid colors. In addition to the major enhancements announced above, each of the new TITAN models offers the class-leading cost of ownership benefits that position the entire TITAN product line ahead of industry standards. By incorporating DP’s exclusive CoolTek™ engineering technologies, each TITAN projector produces maximum lumens while consuming less wattage than competing products. This “Minimum Wattage In, Maximum Lumens Out” principle ensures both a longer life span for key components and lamps, as well as the lowest operational cost.
