Gefen introduces two new matrix switching systems for audio/video installations using either component video or HDMI formats to enable a simple and reliable method of system integration. The 8x4 HDMI Matrix from Gefen allows up to eight high definition video sources to be accessed at any time from any one of four HDMI displays. An IR remote controls matrix switching among the eight sources and four displays. 1080p full HD visuals are delivered instantly to their assigned display with multi-channel audio. Ideal for any venue that requires a wide variety of HD sources to be accessed from multiple displays, this new 8x1 HDMI Matrix from Gefen is rack mountable for simple installation. The 4x4 Component Audio over CAT5 Matrix from Gefen provides dual functionality in a single box solution. It enables simple and direct connections among any four component video sources and four displays with audio inputs and outputs in digital and analog stereo audio formats. Users can opt for small individual receivers at each display to extend video and audio signals over just one CAT-5 cable up to 300 meters with a perfect replication of audio and video resolutions to 1080p. The rack mountable unit comes with an external power supply and four local connection cables. Remote receivers can be purchased individually to tailor the system.
