The TX Series 1080p HDTVs (42”, 47” and 52”) and the 40” VK-40F580D HDTV/DVD combo player are designed for the consumer who wants to enjoy a superior home cinema experience and the very best in LCD technology -- even if purse strings are tight. The TX series TVs are the ideal centerpiece for any digital household, whether in a home theater setting, living room or large bedroom. All models provide a must-have array of HDTV features and connectors with superior Westinghouse performance and technology. The 42”, 47” and award-winning 52” TVs all feature: 1920 x 1080 resolution, the highest standard available to consumers for HD digital video display; an integrated ATSC/NTSC/ClearQAM Tuner; ultra fast response times; and a full suite of connectors. The TX series also ups the ante with 1080Pure™ for 1080p resolution out of all HD connectors, including components and VGA, an ultra high 5000:1 contrast ratio, and four HDMI connectors. The Advanced Calibration Menu allows the users to make advanced adjustments to calibration settings, including colorimetry. Additionally, the Preset Video Modes give users the ability to select from a menu of customized viewing styles including movies, games and sports. HDTV/DVD Combo The VK-40F580D HDTV/DVD combo unit also features 1080p resolution to provide the highest standard available to consumers for HD digital video display. As the ideal all-in-one solution, the VK-40F580D includes an integrated Front Loading DVD Player that utilizes Westinghouse Digital’s PixelDirect™ technology to deliver DVD video to the screen using a direct path (the shortest path possible) and the least amount of signal processing. It upscales standard DVDs to 1080p resolution on the screen. It also provides the consumer with multiple HD input connectors including 2 HDMI, an ATSC/NTSC/ClearQAM tuner and preset and custom video modes for an exceptional viewing experience. All of the new models incorporate the latest Westinghouse proprietary technologies, including: SpineDesign™ intelligent cable access; DayBright™ panel technology for stunning daytime or nighttime viewing; and Autosource™ technology, intelligent engineering that automatically turns the TV on and adjusts it when an external source that is detected.
