Triad Showcases New InWall Silver/4 Omni Sconce Loudspeaker At CEDIA Expo 2008

Custom loudspeaker solution manufacturer Triad Speakers, Inc., will be showcasing its new InWall Silver/4 Omni Sconce loudspeaker at the 2008 CEDIA Expo in Denver, Colorado September 4-7. Triad will be exhibiting in the main hall of the Colorado Convention Center, booth number 550. Triad's InWall Silver/4 Omni Sconce is the first of its kind, combining a high-quality speaker with a lighting sconce. The product was designed by the company to be a unique solution enabling Triad dealers to partner with interior designers and architects to successfully integrate high-performance audio systems into designed spaces. The speaker's wall sconce industrial design and lighting were developed with input from the interior design community. Its unique attributes has earned it an Electronic House Magazine 2008 Product of the Year award and a Custom Retailer Magazine EXCITE award, both of which will be presented to Triad at the CEDIA Expo. Performance Inside the InWall Silver/4 Omni Sconce is a high quality, powerful 2-way loudspeaker system featuring a 5 ½-inch Peerless woofer and 1-inch Vifa soft dome tweeter, together capable of handling up to 80 continuous Watts of power. While compact in size -- the InWall Silver/4 Omni Sconce's speaker enclosure fits within a standard 4-inch deep wall and weighs only 7.5 lbs (each) -- it is sonically matched to Triad's top selling InRoom, InWall and InCeiling Omni loudspeakers, making it ideal for use as a main or monopole surround speaker or a primary speaker either with or without a subwoofer. Lighting The InWall Silver/4 Omni Sconce represents one of the very first applications of LED lighting in the home, which is ideal in terms of very low power consumption, low heat generation, a very long life, non-hazardous disposal and compatibility with industry-standard lighting control systems. Each InWall Silver/4 Omni Sconce contains twelve C350 Flux "Snow White" LEDs for even, bright light dispersion onto the wall. Different lighting colors are made possible by selecting or mixing and matching any of the six color gels provided (from Rosco's Roscolux color gel line) that are included with each Sconce. Provided colors gels are yellow, red, blue, green, orange and amber. Hundreds of additional different Roscolux color gels are available from Rosco by special order. Triad's InWall Silver/4 Omni Sconce is currently available with 3 grill styles described as Curve, Wedge and Peak. Upon placing a dealer order, grill style must be specified. As with all Triad speakers, custom grill colors are available at no additional charge. Integration The InWall Silver/4 Omni Sconce's LED lights simply require a 12 Volt DC power supply and control switch or dimmer provided by the installer. Each dimming zone requires a Foster-brand dimmable LED power supply, which is capable of controlling from 1 to 30 Triad InWall Silver/4 Omni Sconce's from a single dimmer. The required dimmable LED power supply (Model # Foster 16192) is available separately from Triad and must be installed by a licensed electrician. Each lighting zone of up to 30 Sconces requires a magnetic low voltage type dimmer not sold by Triad. Dimensions of the InWall Silver/4 Omni Sconce are 9-9/16" W x 12-3/8" H x 6-7/8" D (2-1/2" from wall to front of enclosure). The dimensions do not include grills, which vary in size. The InWall Silver/4 Omni Sconce has an MSRP of $750 each and is shipping now.
