Combines Left, Center and Right Channel Speakers into One Small Enclosure Delivering a Compact, High-Performance, Front-Channel Speaker Solution for Demanding Surround Sound Applications [The following is a release from Triad Speakers]

September 15, 2008

Custom loudspeaker solution manufacturer Triad Speakers, Inc., today debuted their OnWall Mini LCR 3.0 SE (Special Edition) – a new, higher performance version of the company's OnWall Mini LCR 3.0 loudspeaker system that integrates left, center and right channel speakers into one enclosure, intended for on-wall use with flat panel video displays. Since debuting in September 2006, Triad's OnWall Mini LCR 3.0 speaker system has proven to be one of the most popular in the company's history. The new OnWall Mini LCR 3.0 SE features the same basic form, only with superior performance for demanding surround sound applications, and an enhanced grill. The OnWall Mini LCR 3.0 SE enclosure is a fully engineered and braced cabinet made of the finest MDF materials. Located behind its Acoustimesh grills are three separate audiophile speaker systems, combined into one clean package. An upgraded, high-performance crossover, two 4-inch mid-range drivers (Seas) and one 1-inch fabric tweeter (Seas) per channel -- for a total of nine speakers -- all work in concert to deliver great resolution, imaging, frequency response, output and bass. "The bass reproduced by the OnWall Mini LCR 3.0 SE is sufficient enough that it can be used without a subwoofer; when used with a sub, it can be part of a very serious home theater system," says Triad Speakers, Inc. Director of Sales and Marketing Paul Scarpelli. "With its upgraded drivers & crossover, an improved grill assembly, and Triad's Special Edition Series sound characteristics, we expect the OnWall Mini LCR 3.0SE to be another best-seller," added Scarpelli. Triad's loudspeaker building techniques also contribute considerably to the sound. The company uses no wood screws -- the OnWall Mini LCR 3.0 SE enclosure itself is glued and cured -- which is essential in making an airtight, sealed box loudspeaker. Drivers are screwed into specially designed threaded brass inserts, and held in place by custom designed gaskets, which further maintains an airtight enclosure. The OnWall Mini 3.0 LCR SE is available in any color (at no additional charge) and can be custom sized in ¼-inch increments (at a modest up charge) to perfectly match the homeowner's plasma or LCD television. The OnWall Mini 3.0 LCR SE specifications are: Dimensions: 6-1/6 inch (h) x 42-inch (w) x 5 3/8-inch (d) (with grill) / Weight: 32.5 lbs. Drive Units: (3) 1-inch fabric dome tweeters / (6) 4-inch reed / paper cone midranges Sensitivity: 87 dB@1W1M / Frequency Response 100 HZ - 20 kHz (+/- 3 dB) Nominal Impedance: 5 Ohms / Minimum Impedance: 4.1 Ohms Power Handling: 150 Watts Peak Frequency Response: 90-20KHz (+3db/-6db) The OnWall Mini LCR 3.0 SE is manufactured in the company's Portland, OR plant and is backed by Triad's limited 10-year warranty. The OnWall Mini LCR 3.0 SE will be shipping in October at a manufacturers suggested retail price of $3,000 each.
