At CEDIA, Gefen introduces five new switching solutions using component video or HDMI formats to offer simple and reliable system integration for today's home theaters. The 8x4 HDMI Matrix allows eight HDMI sources to be viewed on one of four HDMI displays. 1080p full HD is delivered to its assigned display together with multi-channel audio when selected by IR remote. Ideal for any venue that wants constant access to a wide variety of hi-def sources, this matrix is rack-mountable for simple installation. Users can also opt for the 8x4 HDMI over CAT-5 Matrix system, which offers the same functionality and performance but with the ability to extend all four HDMI displays up to 50 meters (150-feet) in distance using a receiver unit connected to the Matrix by CAT-5 cable for each display. Gefen's 8x1 Switcher for HDMI v1.3 connects eight hi-def sources to one HDMI display, supporting the entire scope of v1.3 features including deep color for 1080p full HD resolutions, DTS Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD. Users switch between sources using the IR remote or RS-232 connection for instant hi-def video access. The 4x4 Component Audio over CAT-5 Matrix connects four component video sources to four displays with audio supported in digital and analog stereo formats. Small receivers extend audio and video over one CAT-5 cable up to 300 meters (985-feet) in distance to the remote display. Total matrix switching makes this ideal for system integration. The 4x4 HDMI v1.3 Matrix is geared to home theater and professional A/V enthusiasts seeking a plug and play method of assigning four rack-mounted sources to four displays throughout the home with support for 1080p full HD and the expanded HDMI v1.3 format, including deep color, DTS Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD. Each display can access a source using the IR remote.
