Active Thermal Management (ATM), experts in quiet thermal protection solutions, is now shipping its new Cool-LineŁ linear ventilation products. In response to the need for cooling products to fit into ever- narrowing spaces, such as above or below flat-panel displays, or on toe-kick panels, ATM has designed and manufactured the new quiet and thin Cool-Line series. “This new product grouping fits a real need in today’s elegant home theater and entertainment installations,” said Frank Federman, CEO for ATM. “We have designed the line to be cool, thin, and attractive in partial- or full-view applications.” Cool-Line ventilation systems are available in anodized aluminum and various species of unfinished wood. There are also matching grilles, without fans, available in metal and wood to trim passive openings in the enclosure. Cool-Line products measure 3 1/2” or less in width; lengths vary with models from the 15” (single fan) to 45” (three fan) versions. The two-fan version, 30” long, will be the first one available. (Lengths are approximate.) Each fan moves 20 CFM in free air. Powerful, but quiet, cross-flow fans are used in all models. Temperature controlled by remote sensors, the fans begin turning at approximately 80 degrees, speeding up gradually as the temperature increases, and slowing as it drops. Cool-Line products are available to either exhaust the heated air from the enclosures or bring fresh air in. Retail pricing ranges from $300.00 to $595.00.
