Pacific Media Awards Top Four Flat Panel Display Companies

Winners earned top ranks from dealers in annual survey [The following is a release from Pacific Media Associates]

Pacific Media Associates, the global market information experts on large-screen displays, has given awards to the top four flat panel display companies, based on their 12th Annual Dealer Survey. This is the authoritative source of independent, unbiased ratings of large-screen displays manufacturers by dealers throughout North America. The four award recipients were: Gold Award, Professional LCD Flat Panel Displays: Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America Inc. Gold Award, Plasma Flat Panel Displays: NEC Display Solutions #1 in Product Quality/Reliability, LCD Flat Panel Displays: Samsung Electronics America, Inc. #1 in Product Quality/Reliability, Plasma Flat Panel Displays: Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. Dealers were asked to provide ratings based on a broad range of aspects in three groups--products, marketing support, and after-sale support. In all, 25 different aspects were tallied to come up with a composite rating, and the two companies with top scores in each of the plasma and LCD technology categories received Gold awards. In addition, a special award is being given to the top-rated brand--in each of the plasma and LCD technology categories--in Product Quality/Reliability, the most important of the 25 rated aspects, according to the dealers.
