Canton, Germany’s largest and best-selling loudspeaker brand, is teaming up with Parasound, the San Francisco-based audio components manufacturer, to put on a high-quality demonstration of it’s $16,000 per pair Reference 3.2 DC high-performance loudspeakers. Canton’s chief designer, Frank Göbl will be on hand to discuss the company’s new ceramic tweeter and the exotic multiple curvature aluminum bass/midrange drivers. The system will be powered by a pair of John Curl designed Parasound Halo JC 1 400-watt monoblock power amplifiers and a Halo JC 2 preamplifier. The JC 2 recently won coveted preamplifier product of the year awards from both Stereophile and The Absolute Sound magazines. The demonstrations will take place in the Venetian Veronese 2501A, which is located in that touch of high-end heaven along the side of the Venetian Hotel’s East Foyer adjacent to the entrance to Sands Expo Center. Canton is the largest manufacturer and best-selling brand of loudspeakers in Germany. It was founded in 1973 by a group of audio enthusiasts who defined their mission "to always develop the finest loudspeakers in their class."
