Lenbrook America, exclusive U.S. importer of QED, the leading British specialist cable brand, is pleased to announce the introduction by QED Cables of QED Revelation, a completely new, ultra-high performance speaker cable.
QED Revelation Speaker Cable
QED Revelation is a breakthrough fusion of QED’s high-end Genesis and X-Tube technologies, combining them into a new miniature format that brings high-end cable philosophies into a mid-priced product for the first time. QED Revelation boasts both an overall impedance and dissipation factor significantly below conventional speaker cables with the same cross-sectional area. As a result, QED Revelation performs with breathtaking neutrality, allowing good hi-fi and home cinema equipment to perform at their very best.
“I’m extremely proud to report that once again the QED design team has successfully risen to the challenge,” said Phil Davis, the Armour Home category manager for QED. “Our design brief for this new cable was very straightforward. We were tasked to produce a speaker cable which would deliver truly high-end sonic performance, at a price comfortably affordable by all hi-fi and home cinema enthusiasts. The new Revelation speaker cable lives up to its name and delivers unprecedented performance at its price.” QED is a brand of Armour Home Electronics.
QED Revelation cable uses a standard “figure 8” configuration and is attractively finished, with each of its ten 99.999% oxygen-free, silver-plated cores visible through a flexible polyethylene outer sheath 5 mm in diameter. For ease of assembly and to ensure correct speaker phasing, the positive cable is clearly marked and the whole is easily stripped and crimped into recommended QED Airloc loudspeaker plugs.
QED Revelation cable is now available by the spool from authorized QED dealers or through the QED custom cable program at www.lenbrookamerica.com. QED Revelation is priced between Genesis Silver Spiral and X-Tube.

Reason #56 Why Readers Love Widescreen Review:
I am most interested in the formats (audio) of DVDs. I buy a DVD, and then it is re-introduced in a deluxe package some time later. I am not that interested in the extras, but the DVD is invariably upgraded in sound. This is usually DTS ES surround but in some cases DTS ES 6.1 (discrete). Most reviews (Home Theater, Stereophile Guide To Home Theater, Sound And Vision) do not address this situation. I am subscribing to Widescreen Review, hopefully, to solve this problem. I am looking forward to my first issue and a long relationship with your magazine. - Tom Smith
