Cary Audio Design, known for high performance high-end audio and video products, trumpets in 2009 with gusto, showcasing the new Xciter Integrated Stereo Amplifier, matching Xciter 192 kHz/32 BIT DAC and the award-winning Cinema 11a High-Definition Audio Processor at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), January 8th through the 10th, in Las Vegas. Computer-savvy sound buffs, thirsting for phenomenal sound, score hours of listening excitement with the Xciter Integrated vacuum tube Stereo Amplifier and matching Xciter D/A converter driven USB from a lap top computer. The internal components are exceptionally put together to create a compact desktop entertainment system. It packs exhilaration, enjoyment and excellence in a concentrated ‘rhythm box system.’ The new Xciter amplifier contains two 12AX7A input gain stage/driver stage tubes and four 6L6GC output tubes. A sleek exterior has a subtle touch of translucent blue LED back lighting that reflects the natural radiance of the vacuum tubes, as it provides five watts per channel in class A triode Cary Audio sound. The beauty is that the listener can take advantage of the entire amplifier through the headphone output. A front panel switch allows the user to select between external speakers or headphones. The circuitry is optimized to provide a good match for all high quality headphones from four to 400 ohms. The Xciter Integrated Amplifier, along with the matching Xciter Digital to Analog Converter, is the first in a series of products to come under the Cary Audio Xciter collection of products. The excitation doubles when the amplifier is teamed with the new Xciter D/A (Digital/Analog) USB Converter. This compact desktop 192kHz/32 Bit DAC features a computer USB input along with optical input and two coaxial inputs, all selectable from the front panel.
