Audio Design Associates (ADA), the recognized brand of excellence in high-end custom installed electronics, announced the shipping date of February 16th, President’s Day, of the Suite 8000 Series - three new multi-room receivers that are based on the award winning Suite 8200 which just received “multi-room receiver of the year” honors from about.com. Each receiver has a feature set for a specific type of installation and ADA customer. All three receivers do share the same basic features beginning with two premium digital tuners – either FM/AM HD Radio, Sirius or XM Satellite Radio (select any two). In addition to the two tuners, there are six additional audio inputs. Each of the eight zones has both preamplified line-level audio outputs and amplified speaker-level audio. While ADA’s multi-room preamplifier features electronic equalization that specifically enhances the sound of architectural speakers, the high-current power amplifier ensures deep, rich bass even when playing music at conversational volume levels. The amplifiers current-limiting design also make it stable to 4 Ohms per zone while doubling the power output per channel when two-pairs of speakers are used in a zone. “Absolutely, our systems are capable of playing to ‘party’ volume levels but the real trick behind the Suite 8000 Series is getting the sound to be amazing at everyday volume levels when our customers are dining, relaxing, doing housework, and entertaining.” notes Albert Langella, ADA’s president and chief design engineer. “With over thirty-years under my belt, I know this economy and I can tell you that people who invest in a multi-room system want value. The Suite 8000 Series multi-room receivers are by far the best sounding distributed audio receivers by a long shot. I made certain they would be.” The Suite 8000 Series multi-room receivers also feature sub-woofer line-level outputs for zones 1 and 2. There is a ninth paging input including a low-voltage trigger input from say a doorbell. There is also an expansion port making it possible to stack two receivers for homes with up to sixteen audio zones. From this point forward, the three versions are distinct. The Suite 8300, retailing for $4999 features an RS-232 port and is ideal for integration with other control systems (AMX, Crestron, Vantage, etc.). The Suite 8400 retails for $5999 and features connectivity for ADA music controls and touch screens, an 8-source IR learner/controller, system clock and IR baud-rate translator in addition to the RS-232 port. The flagship Suite 8500 has the same features of the Suite 8400 with a front-panel color TFT touch screen that controls the primary room as well as all the other rooms in the home. “In this economy, our dealers are looking for solutions that help them differentiate their bids, because more dealers are chasing after the same jobs and often specifying the same stuff. They also know that today’s customers don’t buy junk.” states Richard Stoerger, ADA’s vice president and COO. “The Suite 8000 Series multi-room receiver is that tool.” The Suite 8000 Series multi-room receivers so exceed industry standards, they really are in a class by themselves. When you price each zone at $500 and each tuner at $500, a Suite 8300 “costs” the same as $3500 multi-room receivers that have but six zones and one analog tuner. Stoerger continues, “Good salespeople know that our customers don’t buy on price, they buy on value. The Suite 8000 Series delivers both value and price – you simply can’t do any better. And to top it all off, it’s an ADA personally designed and engineered by Albert.” To make the Suite 8000 Series even sweeter, ADA recently began offering its new TS-8611 single-gang two-way touch screens in packages of eight for only $3500, normally a $5600 value (TS-8611s cost $699 ea.). Combined with a Suite 8400, a fully amplified eight zone ADA multi-room system with two premium digital radio tuners and eight touch screens now costs under that magic $10,000 price tag. Customers can add ADA’s iBase iPod docks as well as popular music servers (Escient, Request and Kaleidescape – requires MSC-3 Music Server Controller).
