Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs Coming To Blu-ray Disc

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment's next re-release will be the 70-year-old animated classic Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. The title will bow on Blu-ray Disc on October 6, seven weeks before it appears on standard DVD on November 24. The lengthy advance window for Blu-ray is unprecedented for a major release on the format. The title will carry a $39.99 MSRP for Blu-ray Disc and $29.99 MSRP for standard DVD. Bonus features, as yet unspecified, will be packed into both editions. The Blu-ray Disc edition of Snow White is expected to follow Disney’s trend of including a standard DVD with the Blu-ray in one package. Sleeping Beauty and Pinocchio Blu-ray sets were similarly bundled with standard-DVD copies. The Blu-ray Disc edition is certain to become a reference point for high-definition home entertainment.
