December 29, 2009

Bryston has announced that the company’s newest products will be featured in the Magnepan, Inc. demo room at T.H.E. Show, being held at the Flamingo Hilton Hotel January 7th-10th. Bryston will be showing the BCD-1 CD player, BDA-1 DAC, BP26 preamplifier, (3) flagship 28B SST Squared Series amplifiers, a 4B SST Squared for surround speakers, and Torus Power isolation. The demo will also feature high-resolution digital files from Reference Recordings and Chesky. Magnepan and Bryston will be situated in the hotel’s Bryce Boardroom. The concept behind this year’s exhibit is to promote a new loudspeaker from Magnepan while highlighting the electronics from Bryston and Torus Power. The Bryston DAC, CD player, and Squared Series amplifiers have all recently won prestigious awards and T.H.E. Show affords both dealers and media an opportunity to experience these products first hand. “We are pleased to join Magnepan at T.H.E. Show and demo a complete Bryston system,” reported Bryston sales VP James Tanner. “This gives show attendees a chance to hear our digital products along with our analog products all together within a reference quality system,” Tanner added. Bryston will also be on display with THIEL at CES 2010 in the Venetian, Bassano Ballroom 2601 About Bryston: Bryston (www.bryston.ca ) first opened for business in 1962 as a manufacturer of blood analysis equipment, and was named (as an acronym) for its three founders, Tony Bauer, Stan Rybb, and John Stonborough. In 1968, NASA engineer John Russell, Sr. relocated himself and his family to Canada from the US and bought the company, where his son Chris set to work designing the first Bryston amplifier. The Pro 3 made its debut in 1973, and since that time, Bryston components have become legendary for their hand-assembled build quality, performance and reliability in both the pro audio and consumer audio market segments. Bryston amplifiers are utilized in some of the world’s most renowned recording studios and owned by many discerning music industry professionals. Bryston applies manufacturing techniques and materials in the everyday assembly of their electronic equipment that are more typically utilized by the military and aerospace industries. Bryston is now based in Peterborough, Ontario Canada, just northeast of Toronto, and sold through over 150 dealers in North America and 60 countries worldwide.
