In 1996, Magnepan began the audio-equivalent of handing out tasty morsels in high-end grocery stores. The MMG program became Magnepan's best marketing strategy. With the dominance of big box stores and online sales, many audio manufacturers have adjusted to the decline in the number of audio specialty retailers by marketing some (or all) of their models through these new venues. Magnepan has chosen a different strategy. Working in cooperation with our dealers, select dealer-only models will be made available nation-wide for home trial. Instead of "factory-direct", this home-trial program will be "dealer-direct". However, "the devil is in the details". This program is a small, first step to reach approximately 50 percent, or more, of the North American population that lives too far from a dealer to hear firsthand what Magnepan has to offer above the MMG.
