ULTRA-D 2160p GLASSES-FREE 3D MAKES RETAIL DEMO DEBUT AT NEWEGG SHOWROOM GRAND OPENING IN LOS ANGELES

December 3, 2013

Stream TV Networks, Inc. has announced that it has teamed with Newegg Inc.® for the first public retail demonstration of its Ultra-D™ 2160p glasses-free 3D technology. The one-week special preview, which included Black Friday and Cyber Monday, offers Newegg customers an exclusive opportunity to experience Stream TV’s Ultra-D display in stunning 50-inch 4K clarity. Integrating a 4K panel into its proprietary hardware optical system, the Ultra-D 2160p display delivers the sharpest 3D experience outside of the cinema – without any viewing angles, distortion or the need for 3D glasses. Consumers can watch any type of 2D or 3D source content – cable and satellite TV channels, Blu-ray®, Xbox®, PlayStation®, iTunes®, Apple TV®, Google TV®, YouTube®, Netflix® and other feeds – using the company’s real time conversion algorithms to transform everything into customized 3D without glasses. “Newegg is a great partner for making our retail debut,” said Stream TV CEO Mathu Rajan. “We are excited about the enthusiasm they have shown in bringing Ultra-D to their customers.” The 50-inch Ultra-D screen was installed at Newegg’s Hybrid Center located just east of downtown Los Angeles at 18045 Rowland St., City of Industry, CA 91748 where it is on display through Friday, Dec. 6. A combination showroom and will-call facility, the Newegg Hybrid Center opened to the public on Nov. 27. Featuring the latest products from the world’s best consumer electronics companies, the showroom allows customers to see products up close and in person before ordering online. “Newegg is known for bringing the newest and most exciting electronics to a global market, and we’re pleased to offer Stream TV a home for its first public retail demonstration unit,” said Soren Mills, Newegg’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Their glasses-free 3D technology is stunning and a real eye-opener for people who thought this technology was still far off in the future. ” Last month Stream TV was honored with the Marcum Technology Innovator of the Year Award. Previously, its Ultra-D 3D-without-glasses display technology was selected as an Innovations 2013 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree by The Consumer Electronics Association in the Video Displays product category.
