Yamaha Elevates Premium AVENTAGE AV Receivers With Next Gen Features Including Dolby® Atmos™

Yamaha today introduced the latest AVENTAGE series, which adds next generation technologies to their highest performing and most advanced line of network AV receivers to date. The RX-A3040 and RX-A2040 will include the Dolby Atmos format, while all models feature the latest HDMI® standard, and wireless network connectivity. This marks an exciting new chapter for the award winning AVENTAGE series. The RX-A3040 and RX-A2040 AV receivers will enhance properly designed systems with Dolby Atmos where sound comes alive from all directions, including overhead, to fill the home theater with astonishing clarity, power, detail and depth. Yamaha will enable Dolby Atmos playback through a firmware update later this fall. To ensure peak video performance all models offer video upconversion to 4K 60p with Yamaha proprietary video processing technologies and the latest HDMI format is supported in all models with 4K 50/60p and will have 4:4:4 chroma subsampling capability. Each model now supports built-in wireless network connectivity to online music sources such as Pandora®, Spotify Connect, Rhapsody®, SiriusXM Internet Radio and vTuner music streaming services. The latest app release offers listeners more intuitive and flexible control over the receivers’ many DSP modes. Along with the 9.2-channel RX-A3040 and RX-A2040, the latest AVENTAGE AV receivers are comprised of the 7.2-channel RX-A1040, RX-A840 and RX-A740 models. Audiophiles will love the fact that the 9.2-channel RX-A3040 is expandable to 11.2 channels and features Yamaha’s proprietary CINEMA DSP HD3 technology that produces higher and wider sound fields for the most immersive surround sound experiences possible. In addition, it includes an ultra-high performance ESS Technology 192 kHz/32-bit ES9016 DAC for the seven main channels, as well as an ESS ES9006 SABRE™ Premier Audio DAC to power the presence channels, which produces an incredible sound stage with 124 dB dynamic range and super low distortion and noise levels. Advanced HDMI multi-zone switching, which is also available in the RX-A2040, allows all input sources to be output via HDMI for enjoyment in different areas of the home. YPAO™ - R.S.C. (Reflected Sound Control) with 3D, multipoint and angle measurement corrects for imperfect room conditions and non-standard speaker placement for the best sounding results. The RX-A2040, RX-A1040 and RX-A840 feature YPAO - R.S.C. with multipoint measurement, while the RX-A740 offers YPAO with R.S.C. The RX-A2040 integrates two ESS ES9006 SABRE Premier Audio DACs, while the RX-A1040 uses one, for exceptional sound quality. The RX-A1040 offers HDMI zone switching that enables the same or different HDMI sources to be enjoyed in two rooms simultaneously.
