“As ULTRA HD display prices come down, homeowners want a solution that lets them enjoy incredible new 4K content, as well as 1080p content, without issues,” said Tom Barnett, Marketing Director at Crestron. “DigitalMedia is more than ‘4K ready’; it’s 4K already, and your clients’ homes should be too.”

In addition to price reductions driving sales of 4K TVs in the consumer market, DirectTV® also recently announced it will be setup to deliver 4K Video on Demand by the end of this year, and will be ready to stream live 4K content as soon as 2015.1

DM 4K Upgrade Program

Crestron is offering big discounts when you upgrade card-based DM systems with the DM 4K Upgrade Program. Upgrading systems to 4K is as simple as swapping out cards, transmitters, and receivers. Crestron will ship the 4K replacements to dealers in advance so there’s no system down time for their customers. Even better, Crestron will restart the 3-year warranty on the chassis if all eligible cards in the switcher are upgraded.

Testing 4K products, so you don’t have to

The Crestron 4K Certification ensures that sources and displays meet the demands of a 4K distributed system. Crestron engineers in the DigitalMedia Lab rigorously test 4K products to ensure they work in a matrix-switched environment. Only those that do are awarded the Crestron 4K Certified logo. Now, for integrators, finding a database of 4K products they can trust is as simple as visiting crestron.com/4K where they will find a complete test report for each. Crestron’s CEDIA exhibit includes a live 4K switching demonstration, including Crestron 4K Certified displays from a variety of partners, including as the centerpiece a 260” diagonal LED Display with 1.5mm pixel pitch from SiliconCore Technology®.
