September 16, 2014

Severtson Screens (www.severtsonscreens.com), a global leader in innovative and quality projection screens for the home theater, education, house of worship, commercial, and pro AV markets, is pleased to announce that it has added a Bright White Acoustically Transparent (BWAT) screen material option to the acclaimed Legacy Series line-up. To coincide with the updated Acoustically Transparent (AT) materials and specifications, Severtson Screens has also set new aggressive dealer and distributor pricing for the entire Legacy Series projection screen line.

Now shipping and Made in the USA, Severtson Screens will officially launch the updated Legacy Series line during CEDIA Expo 2014, held in Denver from Sept. 11-13 at the Colorado Convention Center, booth #110.

“New high-end material options plus lower dealer and distributor pricing equals better overall sales margins,” explained Toby Severtson, president and CEO of Severtson Corp. “By updating the Legacy Series line with the most modern, state-of-the-art, and end-user-desired AT (perforated fabric) materials available and by controlling production in our own facility in Mesa, Ariz., we have been able to build and offer an even better screen while at the same time reducing overall manufacturing costs. We are passing those savings on to our dealers and distributors.”

As a result, now dealers and distributors can offer their customers multiple screen material options when selling and installing the acclaimed Legacy Series, all at a higher profit margin.

“Our customers asked for an even higher-end, acoustically-transparent screen solution for the Legacy series, and we responded,” added Severtson. “Designed for applications where a more realistic soundstage is desired, the Legacy’s new addition of BWAT allows for the installation of speakers to be placed directly behind the screen surface. With virtually no loss to the audio soundstage along with sharp image quality, its specially designed perforations allow the sound to pass through the screen material smoothly.”

The Legacy Series’ acoustic material is framed on a 30 degree angle to avoid moiré, and its AT surface is washable with mild soap and water, while also being flame retardant and mildew resistant.
