ORANGE, CA--(Marketwire - Sept 1, 2015) - In a major licensing win for home entertainment
system products, DarbeeVision, Inc., a pioneer in the field of digital image enhancement, has
licensed its Visual Presence technology to Taiwan-based Optoma for their Model HD28DSE
DLP projector. The HD28DSE integrates real time DARBEE Visual Presence image processing
for enhanced depth, clarity and realism to the projected image. This is a first for projector
systems, and a new exciting feature that creates best-in-class image quality.
Optoma's projectors are recognized for cutting-edge features and quality, making them a natural
fit to partner with DarbeeVision. "Being selected by Optoma is a wonderful confirmation that
we provide high value for projected image quality. We know that the HD28DSE already
provides superior image fidelity, so our enhancement technology will be seen at its best,” says
Larry Pace, President, DarbeeVision. “We are certain that the HD28DSE system will provide
the new standard for projector image quality.”
Optoma’s Senior Director of Product Management, Jon Grodem said, “Optoma strives to provide
the best home entertainment experience, which has been proven by our continuously leading
position as the #1 1080p DLP projector brand in North America, and is now further strengthened
by our collaboration and exclusive partnership with DarbeeVision.”
The HD28DSE is a high definition 1080p DLP projector with 3000 lumens, 30000:1 contrast
ratio and weighs in at just 5.7 pounds. The HD28DSE is an ideal video projector for movie
watching and gaming in the home or on the road.
Two HDMI ports allow the HD28DSE to easily connect to laptops, Blu-ray DVD players,
gaming consoles and digital set top boxes. MHL connectivity on port one makes it easy to
wirelessly share content from MHL devices such Roku's Streaming Stick, tablets and
smartphones to connect directly to the projector to playback music and video, view pictures and
even share webpages and other user generated digital media content.
Grodem added, “HD28DSE is a step-up from our base home theater line with more powerful
image performance with brilliant color and vivid visual presentation. With native support for
MHL, it also adds more connectivity options to the consumers who now have media content
everywhere: in the cloud, from the gaming console, or from PC and tablet.”
The HD28DSE is 3D ready for an even more immersive gaming or movie experience. 3D
content can be displayed from almost any 3D source including 3D Blu-ray players, 3D
broadcasting and the latest generation gaming consoles. 3D glasses are sold separately.
