April 20, 2017

Atlona’s aggressive strategy to address emerging 4K and HDR requirements in AV systems marches forward with the availability of its JunoX Series switcher and Rondo Series video distribution amplifiers. Now shipping and available worldwide, all three products support 4K/UHD video @ 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling, and HDMI data rates up to 18 Gbps.

The JunoX Series (AT-JUNO-451) is a 4x1 HDMI switcher ideal for applications requiring the latest generation of 4K/UHD and HDR sources and displays. It is compatible with all video resolutions, audio formats, and color space formats supported in the HDMI 2.0a specification, and passes metadata for HDR content.

The JunoX 451 is HDCP 2.2 compliant and features automatic input switching. It also supports HDMI Audio Return Channel for receiving digital audio from a television, and includes a TOSLINK digital audio output for sending this audio to an AV receiver or soundbar.

The Rondo 442 (AT-RON-442) and Rondo 444 (AT-RON-444) provide two-output and four-output distribution amplifier options, respectively, for commercial and residential environments. Like the JunoX 451 switcher, both Rondo devices are compatible with all video resolutions, audio formats, and color space formats supported in the HDMI 2.0a specification, and can pass metadata for HDR content. Both models are also HDCP 2.2 compliant.

The Rondo 442 and Rondo 444 offer significant value to systems integrators. Both distribution amplifiers offer EDID management features to ensure compatibility between source and sink devices. Both models also have front panel LED indicators for power and signal status to simplify setup and troubleshooting. In addition, installers can cascade up to eight units without compromising performance, ensuring that system designs and configurations can easily be adapted or modified.

The JunoX 451 provides EDID management features and can be controlled via Ethernet, RS-232, and IR, including the handheld IR remote control with which it is sold. It is configured and managed remotely by the free Atlona Management System (AMS).

“The availability of these products offer a substantial efficiency boost to commercial and residential integrators looking foreasy-to-install, easy-to-use switching and distribution solutions that deliver high reliability with long-term value,” said Joshua Castro, Atlona product manager. “All three products represent important components of our HDR-compatible portfolio, now and moving forward. The Rondo 442 and Rondo 444 distribution are priced at $339.99 and $469.99, respectively, while the JunoX 451 switcher is available for $489.99. All three products include Atlona’s award-winning 10-year limited product warranty.

  • TV showrooms requiring reliable content distribution to televisions to properly demonstrate high quality 4K and HDR programming
  • Professional AV applications with full-motion, highly detailed 4K graphics presentations for visualization, 3D renderings, simulations, and more
