In a brief statement published Tuesday morning, Sharp announced that it will take part in CES 2019 with a booth located in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center from January 8-11. This marks the first time that the company will have a full-scale presence at the show in four years.

The company said that the booth will reflect its business vision of “Changing the World with 8K and AIoT.” The space will be split up into four areas that showcase the company’s solutions around 8K, AIoT (artificial intelligence and Internet of Things), the home, and business.

“Visitors will experience firsthand an ‘8K Ecosystem’ built upon 8K-related equipment, devices, and solutions and ‘AIoT Solutions’ driven by AIoT home appliances, robotics, sensors, and other devices,” the company said in the statement. “Moreover, they will be provided with home and B2B scenarios in which to try out the state-of-the-art devices and solutions that have made Sharp an industry leader.”

Earlier this year, Sharp showcased that 8K technology at IFA in Berlin, which helped to mark the company’s expansion into the European market. To this point, Sharp 8K sets have made their way from Japan to Europe, and CES 2019 will represent their move back into the U.S. market.
