RUSSOUND ANNOUNCES TIDAL AND DEEZER ADDED TO THEIR NEW MBX-AMP AND MBX-PRE AUDIO STREAMERS

As Russound’s New MBX-AMP and MBX-PRE Streamers Deliver To The Market, Russound Announces TIDAL and Deezer Are Now Available

For over fifty-one years, Russound has designed and built industry leading products in multiroom audio and video systems for the home. As the industry moves ever forward in its full transition to streaming audio, Russound knows how important it is to always provide easy access to customers’ favorite, and most current, streaming tools. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) music recently released data showing that 75% of its revenue is now coming from streaming music. So, keeping up with the current market trends, Russound added two more of the industry leading streaming services, TIDAL and Deezer to the newly launched MBX-AMP and MBX-PRE streamers.

According to Charlie Porritt, CEO for Russound, “The new user adoption rate for streaming is around 1M new subscribers for streaming services per month. So, we view it as very important to be able to provide our customers with popular streaming services like TIDAL and Deezer as built-in native streaming services in our MBX products in order to tap into that growing market.”

Russound spoke with many integrators and installers at the 2018 CEDIA and found its plans to equip the MBX streamers with many of today’s most popular streaming sources was a big hit. This drove forward having TIDAL and Deezer as built-in native steaming services in the MBX-AMP and MBX-PRE and looking forward Russound will continue to add the latest services to their devices.

Porritt continues, “In the first half of 2018 alone, on-demand music and video streams totaled 403.4 billion, a growth of more than 42%. Streaming has certainly become the preferred source for today’s music listener. We see our new MBX-AMP and MBX-PRE being used in much different ways than our controllers have been used traditionally.

“Our new MBX-AMP and MBX-PRE are now equipped to help any professionally installed audio system take best advantage of the many, many streaming options out there today. At Russound, we want our customers to be able to enjoy their favorite music anytime and anywhere they want, and the new MBX-series of products makes that easier than ever before.”
