Vivitek’s D3600z Combines The Power Of Laser Projection With A Compact Size And Price That Fits All

All the advantages of laser projection technology in a compact form factor at a highly attractive price, are just three compelling benefits offered by Vivitek’s latest laser projector family, the D3600Z series.

Comprising three new models - the DH3660Z, DU3661Z and the DH3665ZN - they reflect Vivitek’s strategy to offer futureproof technology to companies of all sizes with a low total cost of ownership. While the range is set to appeal to any business owner, the D3600Z series is of equal interest to System Integrators looking for compact laser projectors for simulation or display projects.

The DH3660Z is the ideal laser projector for equipping most common meeting rooms, while the DU3661Z is an advanced choice with an HDBaseT connection to enable installations of up to 100m cable without compromising the quality of the transmitted signal. The DH3665ZN, meanwhile, is a premium smart projector, which features the built-in NovoConnect Solution to offer an All-in-One wireless presentation collaboration solution.

Compact in size and weighing only 7kg, the D3600Z series offers a choice of 4500 or 5000 ANSI Lumens of brightness with FullHD 1080p or WUXGA resolution to deliver high performance but without the bulk normally associated with laser projectors. Its room-friendly size greatly influences how and where the new projectors can be placed, making them a highly flexible proposition, especially in rooms where space is limited.

Instant ON

The D3600Z series’ clever design and engineering brings benefits to users before, during and after its use. The projector switches on within three seconds, thanks to the instant on and off characteristics of the laser light source. Its HDMI Signal-On, VGA Signal-On enable an ‘instant on’ set up so meetings can start on time.

Instant CONNECTION

During meetings, up to 3x HDMI interfaces allow immediate switching of sources to save further time. For even more interaction and flexibility, users can also go wireless as the NovoProjector DH3665ZN offers cable-free presenting as well as collaboration with Vivitek’s NovoConnect Solution embedded. During meetings, attendees are able to appreciate excellent colour reproduction, while the built-in 10W speaker ensure all attendees can hear and enjoy messages delivered clearly and crisply.

Instant OFF 

Equally efficient in starting and connecting the meeting participants, is the Instant off function and the Direct Power off function to shut down the projector without waiting for it to cool down. If a user does forget to turn off the projector, the eco-friendly Auto-Power-Off function automatically shuts the projector down if no signal input has been received over a certain period of time.

Ease of Installation

The compact sized D3600Z series boasts exceptional installation flexibility. The projectors come with up to three HDMI ports and the DU3661Z also offers a choice of HDBaseT to run one single cable for image, sound, and control over a long distance. With a wide 1.5x zoom and vertical lens shift capacity, the range aids installation placement, while projection image alignment has been made easy thanks to horizontal, vertical and 4-corner keystone corrections. They also offer various projection modes, including DICOM Simulation mode to enhance X-ray images, which are ideal for medical seminars.

Low Total Cost of Ownership

The D3600Z series laser projectors are maintenance-free with no hidden costs. Its lamp-free design means that there is no need to schedule a lamp-change. The projector’s long lasting laser light source offers up to 20,000 hours of operation.

Its filter-free design removes any concerns about ongoing maintenance for filter changes or cleaning. Additionally, its fully-sealed optical engine reduces dust particle impact on the core of the projector, while its advanced thermal management - with optimized cooling and air flow - ensures that the D3600Z series provides class-leading durability.

With the range’s recalibration-free functionality there’s no need to recalibrate the colour performance of the projectors thanks to their Constant Brightness function, which enables users to define a brightness levels of between 25% to 100% to meet their needs and maintain it. This ensures that the colours displayed are maintained without change, because the light level does not change.

There’s further evidence of clever thinking in the projectors’ smart fan management which automatically and dynamically adapts the fan speed according to customized brightness level. This means users and audiences can focus their energy on the content being displayed, without being distracted by a noisy fan. To that end, the D3600Z series produces only 29dB in eco mode.

Pricing & Availability

The D3600Z series starts at £1,850 excl VAT for the DH3660Z, which will be available in June. It will be followed by the DU3661Z in August at £2,090 excl. VAT. The DH3665ZN will be available in the autumn at £2,470 excl. VAT. All models will feature the Standard Laser Phosphor Projector Warranty - 3-Year warranty on projector; 3-year or 10,000h on the Laser Phosphor illumination source (whichever comes first).
