Origin Acoustics Bollard Expansion At CEDIA Expo 2019

Origin Acoustics, the inventor the Luxury Bollard Loudspeaker, is offering two major expansions to the Landscape Bollard Loudspeaker line-up, debuting at CEDIA 2019. 

True to the Origin Acoustics mantra of ‘building our competitors' future products today, we’ve taken the task of expanding our Bollard Collection quite literally. The new Big Bollard features a hard-hitting 10” burial subwoofer which ports out of the loudspeaker's sleeve, just before the acoustic lens. Above the lens is a 6.5” two-way loudspeaker. We’ve been able to utilize our Director Collection technology to keep the sleeve’s width at only 7-7/8 inches. So, while this bollard is much larger than our original model, it still blends in nicely with its surroundings. 

“With the success of the first bollard, our clients kept asking for a larger option for different outdoor scenarios,” said Mike Hopkins, Origin Acoustics Director of Product Development, “Our goal was to keep the design aesthetic and family look the same, utilizing the same premium audio components and high end finishes for the Big Bollard but increasing audio performance so that perhaps only a pair is needed to fill a yard or pool area.  We've achieved this and they seriously rock!”

The Big Bollard will be shipping in Q1 of 2020 and is available in both round and squared sleeves with the silver, or black finish option. 

We have also added a light to the top of our Standard Bollard. The new Bollard Light is compatible with 12v low-voltage lighting systems via a stepdown transformer, has a quick release top for maintenance, and takes common MR16 bulbs. The Illuminated Bollard will also be shipping Q1 of 2020.

All of our Landscape Bollard Loudspeakers are powder-coated for a long-lasting finish regardless of weather, include a premium 70v tap with bypass, and the option of 360 or 180-degree dispersion.
