Wireworld Stellar, The First Optical HDMI Cable To Receive HDMI® 2.1 Ultra High Speed Certification

March 30, 2021

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, MARCH 30, 2021 —

Wireworld Cable Technology proudly announces that their Stellar active optical HDMI cable has just become the first optical HDMI cable to be certified as Ultra High Speed by the HDMI Forum. The HDMI Forum Authorized Testing Center has issued certificates covering the Stellar cables in lengths of 5m, 10m, 15m and 20m. Wireworld maintains that the development required to obtain this certification will enable better user experiences for customers.

Now that 4K video content is common and major products that support HDMI® 2.1 features are widely available in the market, it’s crucial that cables and devices work together seamlessly. Ultra High Speed HDMI Cables comply with a stringent specification designed to ensure support for all HDMI 2.1 features including uncompressed 8k@60 and 4k@120. Stellar supports up to 48Gbps and is backwards compatible with all existing HDMI devices. The cable also features exceptionally low EMI which reduces interference with nearby wireless devices. These Stellar cables will soon be marked with the special logo label that defines them as Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI cables.
