Genesis Shows The G7-Series Loudspeakers At Capital Audiofest 2023

November 2, 2023

Press Release

Genesis Advanced Technologies will show two new passive floor standing loudspeaker models at Capital Audiofest, November 10 – 12 in the Frederick Room of the Twinbrook Hilton, Rockville, MD.

The new series, when still in design prototype form, was premiered at Pacific Audiofest in June. Two models, now in final production form, will be shown at Capitol Audiofest.

The original Genesis® 7-series started as bookshelf speakers in 2005: the G7c (Convertible) was designed by Arnie Nudell, followed by the G7p (Petite) designed by his design successor in Genesis, Gary Leonard Koh. A floor standing G7f with an active side firing woofer was launched in 2010 and won Best of Innovations for Home Theater Speakers at the 2010 International CES. The original line was retired in 2018.

“I design to deliver music for music lovers and audiophiles alike. My speakers have a large sweet spot to encompass the entire family, but these can also be tuned to focus on a single seat.” said Gary Leonard Koh, Chief Designer and CEO of Genesis Advanced Technologies. “This series is designed for the future, so I use environment- and family-friendly materials like bamboo and low-VOC glue and finish.” He continued, “I am pleased that they were well received and we enjoyed not only media accolades, but also great feedback from music lovers, especially from the younger crowd during the Pacific Audiofest.”

The G7 loudspeakers will be hosted at Capital Audiofest by Distinctive Stereo of River Vale New Jersey. The owner, Laurence Borden, has assembled a superlative set of showcase partners. The G7 Minuet ($8,000 MSRP) will be shown with The Wand turntable and Heed Audio electronics. “The synergy between the Heed electronics and the G7 Minuet is magic.” said Carolyn Koh, Vice President and COO. “There is just something about the pairing of well-designed equipment with our loudspeakers that elevate them to a higher level.”  The G7 Foxtrot ($13,800 MSRP) – a completely re-imagined design with isobaric woofers instead of powered servo-bass – will be shown with the Analog Audio Design TP-1000 reel-to-reel tape machine,  a VPI Prime Signature turntable and the new VPI Avenger Phonostage, and amplification from Merrill Audio Advanced Technology Labs.

The Genesis 7 series will retail for $8,000 to $20,000. More information will be available at https://www.genesisloudspeakers.com/ once the series enters full production.
