January 26, 2024

Press Release

Steinway Lygndorf has announced the release of their latest software update, version 5.1.0, for all Lyngdorf Audio and Steinway Lyngdorf processors. This update marks a significant leap forward in the company's commitment to delivering exceptional audio experiences.

Elevating your audio experience

  1. 12-channel decoding for enhanced immersion: Recognizing the growing trend of 12-channel setups, the Steinway & Sons P100 has been upgraded to support 12-channel decoding instead of the original 10 native channel decoding. This enhancement ensures a richer, more immersive audio experience, eliminating any compromise in quality.
  2. Dolby enabled speaker update: For those using Dolby enabled loudspeakers, the company has removed the previous XXL limitation. Now, the cut off frequency is consistently set at 180 Hz, ensuring a seamless and dynamic audio performance. Additionally, the Cue-filter has been integrated into the enabled loudspeakers, streamlining your audio setup.
  3. HDCP license stability: Steinway Lygndorf has addressed the rare instances of HDCP license loss in some boards. These will now be reprogrammed automatically, requiring no action from you. This update is designed to be seamless, maintaining uninterrupted high-quality audio-visual experiences.
  4. Enhanced dual output functionality: Issues with simultaneous use of TV and projector outputs (resulting in a black screen) have been resolved. Now, enjoy flawless performance whether using one or both outputs.
  5. Simplified EDID handling: In the Lyngdorf MP-60 2.1 and Steinway & Sons P300 2.1, the EDID handling process has been streamlined. This simplification removes any confusion, making it easier to manage your settings effectively.
