Liquid Audio, Inc. announced at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention that it has extended its digital music solutions into the production and broadcast markets. The company has teamed up with The Hollywood Reporter, Radio and Records (R&R), and Voicebank.net to create vertical market solutions for distributing audio over the Internet using the Liquid Audio platform. In addition, Liquid Audio announced e:Cast, a new solution for production professionals that enables them to author, publish, review and digitally deliver CD-quality audio over the Internet and LAN/WAN Intranet systems. The Hollywood Reporter and Liquid Audio have teamed up to promote and showcase music composers online. Using Liquid Audio's digital music delivery software and services, The Hollywood Reporter Composer Registry (www.hollywoodreporter.com/registry/) enables music supervisors, directors and producers to audition and download new music and research new composers for film, television and advertising that are unavailable by conventional methods. Using Liquid Player software, users of the Composer Registry service can sample music, read about composers, capture current contact information and stream and download the demo material. The material can then be stored on the computer by the user or transferred to compact disc for later review. Radio & Records (R&R), a trade publication for the radio and record industries, and Liquid Audio are working together to provide radio stations a convenient, organized and comprehensive site for securely previewing and downloading new music releases via the Internet. Voicebank.net (www.voicebank.net) application, fueled by Liquid Audio, connects all aspects of the voice casting process. Ad agencies, animation houses and production facilities create voice-over projects, insert copy, and invite selected talent agencies or casting directors via the Internet. The auditions are then uploaded and retrieved via voicebank.net's secure online delivery network. Liquid Audio also announced e:Cast, an Internet voice dubbing solution for production professionals. The e:Cast system is a comprehensive project management system for the Internet delivery of audio and includes the e:Cast Liquifier publishing software, an e:Cast hosted account for storing and distributing Internet audio and Liquid Express Player software for production professionals to preview and download audio. Media production professionals can use e:Cast to exchange secure, CD-quality audio files over the Internet as easily as sending e-mail. Source: Pro Sound News
