C-Cube Microsystems (NASDAQ: CUBE) Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder Dr. Alex Balkanski has been named one of the 21 most influential DVD executives for his seminal contribution to the development of MPEG, the standard at the very heart of the DVD format. Balkanski's naming to the list comes one year after C-Cube became the first silicon maker to ship one million DVD chips in a quarter.
