Deal To Merge DRM Providers

Digital rights management (DRM) provider Sunhawk.com Corp. announced recently its intent to acquire Copyright Control Services (CCS), a UK-based developer of strategies, technology and methods for reducing copyright infringement on the Internet. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. ""While both companies currently provide services to the music industry, we believe that the combination of respective areas of expertise will be a compelling choice for all media industries including the motion picture, e-broadcast, literature and software industries,"" said Marlin Eller, Chief Executive Officer and President of Sunhawk.com. ""We see the integration of our companies bringing tremendous strengths and synergistic opportunity. The merged company will be able to provide a unique and total solution in the digital rights marketplace,"" says Dave Powell, Managing Director of CCS and who is expected to become President of the CCS division of Sunhawk.com upon closing the deal.
