Klipsch, LLC, a leading audio technologies company, has introduced a line of four new loudspeakers - three in-ceiling and one in-wall - that are being described as value-engineered products suitable for consumer and commercial applications. According to Senior Product Development Director Kerry Geist, all four of the new Contractor Series models are made from the most durable and reliable materials available to deliver the highest possible performance at the lowest possible price. Geist said, ""The new Klipsch Contractor Series loudspeakers have polymer cones, which directly improve performance and reliability. We chose rubber surrounds instead of cloth because of rubber's added durability. The larger magnets increase efficiency and sensitivity and the powder-coated aluminum grilles will never rust. We're not the only manufacturer taking advantage of advancements in materials technology, but I do think our new Contractor Series is the first product line smart enough to incorporate so many of the advancements without leaving the ėvalue' price range."" The CS-650-RSM in-ceiling model is a two-way system featuring one 6.5-inch dual voice-coil woofer and two 1/2-inch tweeters. The CS-650-RSM accepts both left and right stereo signals providing a ""summed mono"" output. According to Geist, this feature allows accurate distributed sound to smaller areas without the inconvenience or cost of more than one in-ceiling unit. He said the CS-650-RSM is the affordable single unit alternative for a space that would typically require a dual speaker install. The Klipsch Contractor Series loudspeakers retail at: - CS-650-R 6.5-inch two-way in-ceiling, $150/pair U.S. MSRP - CS-800-R 8-inch two-way in-ceiling, $175/pair U.S. MSRP - CS-650-RSM 6.5-inch two-way in-ceiling, $125/each U.S. MSRP - CS-650-W 6.5-inch two-way in-wall, $100/each U.S. MSRP Installation kits for the Contractor Series models are sold in pairs and range from $36 to $54 U.S. MSRP. Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana with manufacturing facilities in Hope, Arkansas and Huntington, Indiana, Klipsch, LLC was founded in the 1940s by audio pioneer Paul W. Klipsch. Klipsch) and his wife Judy Klipsch bought the company in 1989, guiding it to its current position as a global leader in audio technologies. With distribution of the brand to specialty audio retailers as its core business, Klipsch manufactures and markets complete lines of consumer and professional loudspeakers.
