RBH Sound, a Utah-based speaker manufacturer with 23 years of experience, has taken home theater to the next level with their Signature Series loudspeaker line. Available in over 30 uniquely different high quality, genuine woodgrain veneers the Signature Series was designed to both look and perform beautifully. Among the speakers available in the Signature Series lineup are the 1266-SE, 661-SE and the 1010 SEP. The aluminum metal cone drivers found in all of these speakers are a proprietary design that use Kapton voice coil formers, an aerospace material that is capable of handling very high temperatures and completely resistant to electromagnetic interference. The 1-inch Ferrofluid fabric dome tweeter found in both the 1266-SE and the 661-SE are said to provide excellent dispersion at high frequencies. The speakers are graced with high quality crossovers using very steep slopes to minimize driver interaction at crossover frequencies.The flagship 1266-SE is a three-way, floor standing speaker that the company claims to look as beautiful as it sounds, and its tonal characteristics are said to match that of the 661-SE perfectly. Rounding out this home theater setup is the 1010-SEN subwoofer (non-powered), which incorporates two 10-inch aluminum woofers, or the 1010-SEP which is powered by an internal 350-watt amplifier. Each Signature Series loudspeaker is constructed from MDF (medium density fiberboard) and internally braced to ensure structural integrity and eliminate unwanted cabinet resonance. The available woodgrain veneers range from Classic Mahogany to Brandied Peach so that these speakers can match virtually any decor.Suggested retail pricing of the 1266-SE, 661-SE and 1010-SEP are $1299, $599 and $1349 each, respectively, in traditional black, with the colored veneers available for an additional cost. There is also a passive version of the 1010-SEP called the 1010-SEN available for $859 each. There are also less expensive models available in the line.
