New MC-6CT Three-Way, Freestanding Tower Loudspeaker Rounds Out RBHís MC Series

RBH Sound, Inc., introduces a new speaker in their MC Theater Series line. With the introduction of the MC-6CT, the speakers become the flagship of the MC Theater Series and the only freestanding tower loudspeaker in the lineup. The MC-6CT is a three-way, freestanding tower loudspeaker, based on the MC-6C. Like its predecessor, the MC-6CT uses a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter and three of the same 6.5-inch aluminum drivers. The aluminum drivers are proprietary designs, combining stiffness and self-dampening properties, which are said to present a pure reproduction of the audio signal.Like the rest of the MC Theater Series speakers and RBHís more expensive Signature Series speakers, the MC-6CT incorporates what the company believes to be the highest quality components in its crossover system. The steep slope of the crossover system reportedly increases the driverís power handling capabilities, provides a smooth integration between the drivers, and minimizes driver distortion. The MC-6CT is constructed using MDF (medium density fiberboard) and is internally braced to minimize cabinet resonance at all frequencies and prevent excess sonic radiation. The MC-6CT can be used as a stereo pair or combined with a trio of MC-414C LCR speakers to create an unsurpassed home theatre experience. The MC-6CTs are priced at $999 per pair in black stained oak, or $1099 per pair in genuine cherry veneer or white semi-gloss.
