RBH Sound, Inc., introduces two new in-ceiling loudspeakers into their established lineup of in-wall loudspeakers. The MC-615 and MC-815 are said to offer a perfect solution when a freestanding speaker will just not do.The MC-615 and MC-815 share the same driver technology as the rest of the speakers in RBHís MC Theater Series line of loudspeakers, which allows for a seamless integration of both freestanding and in-wall loudspeakers. Both the MC-615 and MC-815 share the same 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter. The MC-615 features a 6.5-inch aluminum cone woofer while the MC-815 has an 8-inch aluminum cone woofer for increased bass response.These in-ceiling speakers both use high quality crossover systems with steep crossover slopes to increase the driverís power handling capabilities, and better integrate the drivers with one another. The MC-615 and MC-815 were also designed to be flexible. Both speakers feature a swivel tweeter that can be aimed at the listener, which is convenient if the speakers are to be mounted well above the listening area. The MC-615 and MC-815 can be installed in-wall or in-ceiling using RBHís new construction brackets. The NCB-5R/6R/8R are flexible brackets for use with all RBH in-ceiling loudspeakers, and the BB-R is a rear enclosure for use with the aforementioned installation brackets. Suggested retail price of the MC-615 and MC-815 is $529 and $629 per pair, respectively.
