B & K Components Ltd., a manufacturer of electronics designed, engineered, and built entirely in the U.S., introduces the new Reference 30 preamp/tuner processor.The Reference 30 features DolbyÆ Pro LogicÆ, Dolby Digital, DTSÆ Digital Surroundô, THXÆ 5.1, 6.1 Surround, 7.1 Surround and THX Surround EXô. Digital processing is achieved using Digital DNAô technology from the Motorola DSP56362 chip. The Reference 30 can also reproduce high-bandwidth audio signals through the use of 96kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converters and DVD-Audio inputs.Like many of B & Kís products, the Reference 30 features ""PLUG'n PLAY"" technology that allows for convenient automation, such as detecting and decoding the incoming signal, and, among other things, lowering your video screen and turning on your amplifier. The Reference 30 also features second zone operation.
